Maintain your home: what you can do to keep it stunning

Not everyone is privileged to have professional house management services such as ours to look after the upkeep of their home. So a few tips for keeping your house in 5 star condition.

1 - take the time to allocate your annual maintenance , eg air conditioning servicing, roof and gutter cleaning, pest control etc. Diarising these items including the contact details of whom you use will mean you won't miss a vital appointment. Remember it will cost you more in the long run to repair neglected items, than it does to maintain them.

2- Have a contact list of all of your trusted suppliers and trades . That way its easy for you to see who you can call in an emergency as well as developing vital relationships, that may get you to the front of the queue in an emergency.

3_ Small steps consistently rather than one big spring clean will be more manageable , less overwhelming and will help keep your home sparkling. Allocate an area each month for large cleaning , an area a week for smaller cleaning and put it up in the laundry for everyone to see. That way nothing gets forgotten.
